First of all: We are operational, and we are so very grateful to you, our aava community, that we can even say this. What does that mean for you? We still fulfill every single order that is placed in our store.

However, our service has not been left untouched by Covid-19’s effects on the global postal system, which is why we are experiencing shipping delays on order, especially on international orders. Here you can find the average delivery delays based on your location:

Shipping delays on orders from the US


Since our warehouse in Houston, Texas is still fully operational and USPS experiences only slightly elevated shipping times of 1-2 additional business days, we are still able to deliver your new swimsuit to your doorstep within 3-6 business days.

Shipping delays on international orders


Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 the global postal system is facing extended transit times. Currently, there are rather limited transport carriers operating between the USA and EU, and we’ve been informed by USPS that these delays can be anywhere from 1 - 5 weeks depending on where the item is destined.

Additionally, some countries temporarily hold off on international mail acceptance completely, because of their reduced postal service and in an effort to protect their postal workers. If you live in one of the listed countries below, your order will be put on hold and shipped out as soon the restrictions have been lifted by your country. If you ordered some time ago it is likely that your order has already shipped and will be returned back to us.

What your tracking status means

As soon as our warehouse has processed your order, you will receive a shipping confirmation from us that links to your order status page. On this page, you can access your tracking number, and by clicking on it, you will be forwarded to the USPS tracking page. Please see below a quick explanation of what which status means:

1 - PRE-SHIPMENT
Our warehouse has provided all information about your package to USPS and is waiting for them to process and pick it up.

2 - ACCEPTED / PROCESSED
USPS has picked up your swimsuit from our warehouse and it’s now in one of USPS’s facilities physically.

3 - IN-TRANSIT
Your swimsuit has left the USPS facility and is now on its way to you!

3B - HELD AT CUSTOMS
Please note: aava swim ships on a DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) basis and does not cover customs, duties, or taxes applied to orders by a country customs authorities. Depending on your individual country custom limits, it could be that your package is held at your local post office awaiting duties paid and collection, or you may receive a note from your local postal authority to pay the customs fees of your package. If that is the case and there are any issues with your local postal services, please contact us and our team will be happy to assist you further. For further information regarding payable customs, duties, or taxes please check with your relevant customs authority.
